HAUTE PANTS!

According Joao Vas’ website, as a child he ‘made clothes for his doll, drawings, jewels out of fimo and wire, and told stories to himself. He was intuitively dedicated and a perfectionist.’

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Vas first moved to London in 2002, where he studied a Higher Diploma in jewellery. Leaving London in 2009, Vas relocated to Sydney to study jewellery at TAFE, Design Centre in Enmore.

I was gobsmacked when Vas revealed that he’d created this entire outfit. Picking my jaw up of the dirty sidewalk, I morphed into a one-man paparazzi scrum, desperate to capture every detail of this genius’ outfit.
