Firstly, that it’s taken me 2 months to blog the Orri Henrisson S/S 11 campaign is an indefensible oversight. Unfortunately, what should be the Tyrants proudest photographic moment is now shrouded in shame - so Henry, Ashley, Jimmy, Rachel and Koen; the Tyrant prostrates himself before thee and begs for clemency.
This morning I asked myself, ‘what can I add to this story that hasn’t already been said?’ The answer it would seem is ‘not much’.
After roaring to life on Frockwriter and The Vine, the Orri Henrisson S/S11 campaign ripped through the interwebs at warp speed. Then after finding it’s way onto the Fashionisto and Trendland, the campaign went so ‘viral’ that we lost track of it – easily making it THE most successful online Australian menswear campaign in recent memory.
Not bad when I consider it was shot on the smell of an oily rag!
Of course, I’m nothing without an a amazing team of collaborators and cohorts, so Ashley McConnell (rockstar, model, muse to the Tyrant and one of Australia’s best dress men), James Dykes (Australia’s best menswear stylist), Rachael McKee and Koen Arbouw (the visionary Dutch modernists from Lekkur Studio) and last but by no means least, Henry Ng (THE most progressive menswear designer Australia has seen in decades), stand up and take your bow.
